About
One of the most picturesque walking areas in the entire Far East. From here, the neighboring China is best visible. The skyscrapers of the sister city look especially stunning in bright night lighting. On the embankment, there is a sculpture of a dog named "Druzhok." The monument appeared in honor of an actual dog that lived in the nearby village of Vladimirka. In 2013, there was a severe flood, and Druzhok's house was flooded. The owners evacuated, but the dog stood all night up to his neck in water on the porch, guarding the house. Rubbing his nose is considered a good omen.
