Bermamyt Plateau

One of the most beautiful places in Karachay-Cherkessia. From the high plateau, there is a breathtaking view of the mountainous terrain covered in greenery and the majestic Elbrus. The entire plateau is 30 km long, with the highest points being Big Bermamyt (2591 m) and its younger brother, Small Bermamyt (2643 m). There is a viewing platform between the peaks where you can take stunning photos. Next to the platform, there is a hotel. The cabins with panoramic glazing face Elbrus. You can reach the plateau from Kislovodsk by off-road vehicle in about one and a half hours. If you're traveling in a lighter car, it's better to go via the village of Uchkeken, which has a smoother road. The journey will take about two hours. On the way, you can also visit the karst caves near the Gritskina Balka River. The weather on the plateau is unpredictable and can change quickly. Therefore, we recommend bringing warm, waterproof clothing.
