A beautiful sky-blue building The cathedral is located on the square near the railway station. Today, it is one of the largest cathedrals not only in Siberia, but also in the Russian Far East. The highest point of the church reaches 47 meters, and the main dome weighs over 25 tons. The храм has a pentagonal shape and a tent-roof bell tower with 13 bells installed. Inside the cathedral are the relics of Venerable Hieromonk Varlaam of Chikoy and Saint Meletius, Bishop of Ryazan. This is the cathedral where the Chita Diocese holds all major Orthodox celebrations.
