About
The city’s main clock. A 29-meter-high, four-sided tower made of white marble and red tuff stone stands on Narodnykh Gulyany Square. Black clock faces, 3.5 meters in diameter, are mounted on all four sides at the top of the tower, with gold-leaf-covered hands and numerals. At night, the tower and clock faces are illuminated with an emerald-green light. The square with the clock tower is adorned with a musical fountain. In the evening, a spectacular light-and-music show begins, combining water, light, and music into a single performance. Today, Narodnykh Gulyany Square, with its clock tower and “singing” fountain, is one of the main places in Magnitogorsk for walks, celebrations, and social gatherings.
