Three mountain peaks are accessible within the city Mount Beshtau has five summits, which is where the city name Pyatigorsk comes from. On the slopes of the mountain is the Vtoroafonsky male monastery, and on the way to the summit, there are many picturesque rock outcrops. On the 973-meter summit of Mount Yutsa is one of the largest delta-dromes in the country.
