A small fish with a cucumber aroma, caught in the Baltic Sea, is one of the symbols of Petersburg. A serving of fried smelt is served with lemon, herbs, a side dish, or simply on its own. If you don’t like fish, try the meat: the signature Skobelev meat patties made from veal or chicken with added cream or sour cream.
