About
Unforgettable views of Aniva Bay The rock received its name due to its shape, which resembles a frog ready to jump. In ancient times, the indigenous Ainu people considered the rock sacred. They believed it was the energetic and spiritual center of the entire island. You can reach the foot of the rock from the village of Vestochka via an equipped eco-trail. The route follows the Komissarovka River, whose water, according to some reports, has healing properties. Along the way, you will encounter the Sun and Moon Glades, each associated with its own legends. Then a gentle ascent to the Frog Rock begins, from where on a clear day you can see Aniva Bay, Lakes Tunaycha and Izmenchivoye. Tourists come here to restore their energy; some believe that if you make a wish and touch the Frog Rock, it will come true. Visiting the rock is accessible for tourists with limited mobility.
