15-meter waves Khalaktyrsky Beach is often chosen by Russian and foreign extreme sports enthusiasts: surfers can catch 15-meter waves and enjoy the tailwind almost all year round. For more than 10 years, the first surf school in Russia has been operating on the beach. The beach is also popular for diving and paragliding. Add to this the fantastic landscapes with black sand, reminiscent of "The Lord of the Rings" or "Game of Thrones." It’s easy to get there: 30 minutes from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky by bus No. 8 (to the village of Dolinovka), No. 24 (to the village of Zaozerny), or by car. From the station, you’ll need to walk another 5 km or take a taxi.
