A mixed forest on the slopes of Mount Mashuk with pedestrian trails Three well-maintained paths are laid out among oaks and maples. On the western side, there is a dense walnut grove. In 1841, at the age of 26, the life of Russian poet and writer Mikhail Lermontov ended here. He was killed in a duel by nobleman Nikolai Martynov. At that time, honor and dignity were defended with weapons. A memorial plaque and a mourning stele have been placed at the site of the duel.
