Memorial Complex “BK-31”

About

The famous armored boat that defended the Volga frontlines during the Battle of Stalingrad For more than 70 years, it lay at the bottom of the river. After a complex rescue operation and long reconstruction, BK-31 was installed on the Lower Terrace of the 62nd Army Embankment in tribute to the sailors of the Volga Military Flotilla. The memorial complex tells visitors about the city’s heroic past, the valor of the sailors, and the final battle that left its mark on the boat’s stern.
