Spruce forests cover 85% of the park's territory The main symbols of the park are the spruce tree, Lake Paanajärvi, and Mount Nuorunen. Lake Paanajärvi, a tectonic lake, is considered one of the deepest small lakes in the world, with a depth of up to 128 meters. Mount Nuorunen is the highest point in Karelia, with an elevation of 576 meters. The park offers various hiking trails of different lengths and difficulties for trekking. In the village of Pyazor, there is a visitor center where you can obtain a park permit, view museum exhibits, purchase souvenirs, learn about the trails, and book excursions.
