Railway Equipment Museum of the Sakhalin Railway

A unique museum Due to the special history of the railway’s development and its unique narrow gauge, different from all other Russian railways, the equipment here is considered one of a kind. In the museum, you will see a two-axle platform, an old two-axle covered wagon, a 1939 “Vadzima” snowplow and a “Kiha” diesel train car. The collection continues to grow: the search for historical railway equipment never stops. To accomplish this important mission, museum employees cooperate with regional collectors, history lovers and retired railway specialists.
