Salavat Yulaev Square

The square of the national hero of Bashkortostan This is the first place to visit in Ufa — even if you’re here for just one day. It is home to the monument of Salavat Yulaev, the poet and folk hero who played a major role in the region’s history. It is the largest equestrian statue in Russia, standing nearly ten meters tall. Nearby, there is a well-kept alley with a fountain and an observation deck overlooking the Belaya River.
