One of the most mystical places in the Murmansk region — a lake surrounded by majestic cliffs. Canyons with seids — giant sacred boulders — stretch out from the lake’s shores. The Sámi people, the Indigenous inhabitants of the peninsula, believe these stones are home to the spirits of the dead. Locals say you should mentally ask the spirits for permission before visiting the lake.
