About
One of the most sacred sites of the Urals Mount Toratau formed around 285 million years ago when this area was the floor of the Permian Sea, and the mountain itself was a reef inhabited by mollusks and invertebrates. Climbing the hill is easy — it stands only 406 meters high — and from the top, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Ishimbay, Sterlitamak, and Salavat. A staircase leads up to the summit. Nearby, there are three other shikhans: Yuraktau, Kushtau, and Shakhtau.
