A unique experience Surfing on the Pacific coast is not for everyone: Kamchatka is a place of large waves and unpredictable weather. However, anyone can visit the coast, enjoy the nature, and watch the extreme sports enthusiasts. The surfing season lasts from May to October, with the water being warmest during this period. But even in summer, special equipment is necessary. During the hottest season, from mid-June to late August, the water does not warm up above +15°C. Spring weather is unpredictable, but it attracts thrill-seekers who can catch large waves. Some even surf in the winter!
