Arkhyz: Breathe in the freedom of the mountains with scenic slopes, gondola lifts, and restaurants nestled at the foot of majestic peaks. Arkhyz Ski Resort is a modern year-round destination for outdoor recreation in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. The resort features the North and South ski areas, more than 25 km of ski runs, and high-speed gondola and chairlifts. Most slopes are equipped with snowmaking systems and are open for night skiing. The resort's infrastructure includes the Romantik and Lunnaya Polyana (Moon Meadow) mountain villages, offering hotels, restaurants, cafés, and ski equipment rental. Visitors can enjoy ski schools for adults and children (from age 3), a snow park, tubing area, ice rink, and guided excursions to ancient churches and waterfalls. The ski season runs from December through April, and by 2030 the resort plans to expand its ski terrain to 57 km.
