About
The famous painter Perov studied here, and it was visited by Empress Catherine II and the military commander Suvorov. In the past, there were over thirty churches here alone, and the saying “one eye on us, the other on Arzamas” became a well-known proverb. You can come here for a day trip, but keep in mind — the Arzamas district has a lot to explore, so it’s worth staying longer.
