The largest and most powerful ridge surrounding Lake Baikal. Here lies the highest point of the Baikal region — Baikal Peak, which stands at 2,841 meters. It is located in the central part of the mountain range, at the headwaters of the Bolshaya River. This route is perfect for the most daring and brave travelers. Along the Barguzin Ridge, you’ll pass through impenetrable taiga with trees up to 1,200 meters tall, larch forests, and alpine meadows abundant with blooming flowers.
