Berendeevka Park

About

Where the air smells of resin and spicy herbs Only 10 minutes by car from the center — and you’re in the Berendeevka forest park with pines and birches. In 1968, the film "The Snow Maiden" was shot here, and some of the wooden decorations have been preserved to this day. Since then, Berendeevka has been associated with the image of a fairy-tale Rus. The park’s name refers to Tsar Berendey, a character created by the classic Russian writer Alexander Ostrovsky, who ruled over the “kind Berendeys.” The park has three ponds: one for boats, another for fishing, and the third — for beauty and… for ducks. There are attractions and even a park-hotel in the style of a Russian terema.
