Cheremsha is a spicy green herb tasting similar to onion or garlic. In spring, it becomes the star of Chechen cuisine. The most popular dish is Yuzan-Galnash, large dumplings with cheremsha and cottage cheese. In February, the “Khonk Fest” festival takes place, featuring smoothies, rolls, pizza, and other dishes made with cheremsha.
