Dzerzhinsky Street

About

Tyumen’s main pedestrian street. It features over thirty historical landmarks, many decorated with the signature Tyumen woodcarving. A fine example is the 19th-century estate of merchant Vasily Burkov, located at 30 Dzerzhinsky Street — with elaborate façades, deep carving, and a grand porch supported by plant-motif brackets. This green, blooming street blends restored wooden architecture with early-20th-century stone Art Nouveau. Here, old merchant houses stand alongside modern cafés and summer terraces, while in the evening, string lights glow and winding benches invite visitors to rest.
