Far East Theaters Festival

11 vibrant performances from Far Eastern theaters on one stage Over two weeks in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, audiences will see some of the best theater productions from across the Far Eastern Federal District. This year, organizers received 35 applications from 23 theaters in the region. An expert council selected 11 productions for the festival program. Participating theaters include the Amur Regional Drama Theater, the Sakhalin International Chekhov Theater Center, the Yakut Theater for Young Audiences, the Khots Namsaraev Buryat Drama Theater, and others. The festival is held as part of the Theater Development Program for the Russian Far East. The program is led by People’s Artist of Russia and Artistic Director of the Theater of Nations, Evgeny Mironov.
