Fishing Village

About

A city landmark that often appears on postcards and thematic websites. This bright and memorable quarter stands on the Pregolya River opposite Kant Island and lets you experience the atmosphere of an old city. You can take photos in front of traditional buildings in German style and capture beautiful shots of the Cathedral - from here, there's a wonderful view of it. In fact, this quarter was built relatively recently, in 2010. The architects were inspired by German half-timbered architecture. Today, you'll find many cafes and restaurants in the fishermen's village, including those with traditional cuisine.
