This fortress marks the beginning of Sochi’s history. Fort Alexandria was established in 1838 and later became the Navaginsk Fort. Now, it houses the art space "Fort" with a memorial plaque "Zero Kilometer." From here, the pedestrian staircase begins, with an important historical date marked on each step.
