The largest burial mound complex in Europe. 15 km west of central Smolensk, in Gnezdovo, lies a burial mound complex. Archaeological expeditions work here every year. In early August, a large historical reenactment festival, "Gnezdovo," is held here: play medieval board games, try Old Russian dishes at the tavern, feel like a brave warrior or Viking, and compete in the lists! How to get there: The nearest stop is "Glushenki." From the "Railway Station" stop, you can reach it by buses No. 12, 30, 116, and minibuses No. 101, 102, 30Dn. Travel time is about 30 minutes.
