Kideksha

About

A village with a 12th-century church. 5 km from Suzdal is a special place — the village of Kideksha, founded back in pre-Slavic times. In the 12th century, Kideksha became the residence of the powerful prince Yuri Dolgorukiy, the founder of Moscow. Around the same time, the Church of Boris and Gleb was built here — one of the earliest white-stone churches in Northeastern Rus.
