About
Turquoise lakes in red hills.
An hour and a half from Tula, former coal quarries have turned into a fantastic landscape. After the mines closed, 27 turquoise lakes up to 79 meters deep formed here, and the heaps of waste rock created Martian-like landscapes in red-brown hues.
Konduki attracts active leisure enthusiasts and photographers from all over Russia. Here, you can fish, ride paddleboards on the lakes, camp overnight under the starry sky, or simply enjoy the incredible views.
The varied landscape sometimes resembles Altai, sometimes Karelia.
