It’s interesting here all year round. During New Year celebrations, an ice town with slides and a skating rink appears on the embankment; afterwards, Maslenitsa festivities take place, in May the views are no worse than cherry blossom season in Japan! It’s especially nice in summer: concerts are held here, and on City Day this is the best place to watch the fireworks. At the end of the embankment, you’ll find the pier of the River Station. From here, you can take a short river cruise on a river tram — either with a guided tour or on your own — enjoy views of the city from the water, and take beautiful photos. You can also ride the tallest Ferris wheel in Siberia and see Novosibirsk from 67 meters high. The city looks especially impressive in the evening when the lights turn on.
