Take a walk along Irkutsk’s main pedestrian street. Shops, cafés, and restaurants line the street, and in the courtyards, you will find modern bars. The street leads fr om Karl Marx Street to the Central Market, wh ere you can buy the famous “Grilyazh” candies with pine nuts or fish as a gift. Do not miss one of the striking architectural monuments — the white-and-blue Aksyonov-Tyshko estate, where you will find about a dozen shops.

Surroundings of Buguldeyka village
You will see a dazzling marble quarry, a monument to the ancestor of the Buryats Bukha-Noyon, Lake Baikal itself, and 12 wooden bridges leading to the village of Kurtun — the only connection for its residents with the outside world.

Irkutsk Zoo
Located in the botanical garden of Irkutsk State University, it houses and breeds animals, some of which are listed in the Red Book. You can see lynx, raccoons, foxes, wolves, guanacos, yaks, owls, and hawks.
