“Dreamers” Kite and Hot Air Balloon Festival

A spectacular celebration for everyone who dreams of taking to the skies. From September 10 to 13, five hot air balloons will take to the sky. You can watch the flights or take a ride yourself, as well as compete in model-building contests. In the evening, enjoy a light and music show featuring the flames of hot air balloon burners. Throughout the festival, guests can visit a craft fair featuring handmade souvenirs, try their hand at leatherworking in a traditional workshop, and take part in master classes led by skilled artisans. The festival takes place on the grounds of the ancient historical and architectural site of Bolgar, located in the southwestern part of the Republic of Tatarstan, 180 km from Kazan. The Bolgar Historical and Archaeological Complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
