About
One of the most beautiful places in the Caucasus. Its name translates to "warm water." Jily-Su is home to several types of Narzan springs: siliceous, thermal, and carbonated — a total of 14 springs. During the walk, you will see several waterfalls. The highest is Sylan-Su, which stands at 40 meters. After the walk, head a bit higher up from the springs, and from there, you can see the "Valley of Castles": stone towers of bizarre shapes formed by wind and water over millions of years. It takes just over two hours to drive from Kislovodsk to Jily-Su. It’s best to set off in the morning. A barrier blocks the entrance to the gorge, and you will need to pay an environmental fee at the entrance. Leave your car in the designated parking area, as further movement is only possible on foot in the reserve area.
