About
An old mansion On Sverdlova St., in the early 20th century lived Gennady Botnikov — a merchant and the city head, who gifted Kostroma a power station, a library, an orphanage, a telephone network, and much more. Now this is a museum with nine halls where the merchant’s house interior is recreated: carved furniture, antique chandeliers, dishes. The atmosphere is lively — the items can be touched, and the tours turn into a journey to the “merchant Kostroma.”
